The following information will tell you a little bit more about the process of starting counseling with CFCC and answer a few common questions.
Scheduling And Consultation
To schedule an appointment, you can call (720) 443-1868, or email therapist and practice founder Ronnie Vasquez at couplesandfamilycc@gmail.com.
You might wish to have a free 15 to 30 minute phone consultation with Ronnie or another therapist who can help with your unique situation. In the second case, Ronnie will give the appropriate therapist your contact information, and they will contact you directly. If you both decide to go forward together with therapy, you will be able to schedule your first session then.
First Session
The first session is an opportunity for your therapist to learn what has brought you to therapy. This allows you to open up about past or current challenges that have led you to seek help, and it gives you a chance to get what you need off your chest. First sessions are a great way to set the stage for your work with your therapist and to consider a few goals you may have for yourself.
The other part of this first session will include some paperwork and conversation about what various forms mean. You can also receive an overview of what the therapy process might look like. Every client’s experience is unique and will be treated as such.
Continuing Sessions
In all of your following counseling sessions, you and your therapist will focus on working to improve your current situation or state of mind. You and your therapist will discuss challenges that you face and work on creating solutions and building up your tool belt to help you face problems more effectively. As you engage in the therapy process, you can begin to find a new sense of relief.
Not only will these sessions be a chance for you to change your current situation and overcome hardship, they will also help you maintain a stable frame of mind where you can feel empowered and excited for new possibilities.
